LectureMonkey Manifesto Part 2

Second part of the video explaining LectureMonkey manifesto:

  • At LectureMonkey we believe that lectures will continue to be the main pedagogical approach in college – and we want to help students help themselves and their classmates get the most out of their lectures.
  • Lectures are valuable because they provide students targeted, tailored and local learning content along with peer and expert interaction making classrooms invaluable social learning communities. There is no replacement for students going to class.
  • The problem with lecture content is that it is too short-lived, disappearing after an hour. A lifespan of a semester or two is probably just right for most lectures.
  • By providing a platform for crowd sourced universal lecture capture, annotation and access LectureMonkey will fundamentally change learning.
